COMMISSIONS HOW TO

It is understandable that the commission process may be somewhat overwhelming. This guide aims to reduce the confusion, and bring you closer to receiving that special mtg alter. Read on for a better understanding of what you can expect throughout the commission process with Alters of the Coast.

1. Use the Request Form or contact Alters of the Coast with the following details – 

• The type of alter desired – border extension, full art replacement, etc. (See the Price Guideline for available options).
• Any details or reference images you would like included within the artwork.
• Preferred deadlines for when the card is required. Please take into consideration shipping (See Shipping).
• Whether you will require Alters of the Coast to provide the card. Please be aware that the costs associated with acquiring the card will be added to the overall price. This option is recommended for international buyers outside of Australia.
• Whether you are an Australian or International buyer and your preferred method of shipping (See Shipping).
• Your budget – how much you are willing to pay for the commission.

2. The Alters of the Coast artist will contact you for more information, or customise a quote based on the details provided. The quote is under discretion of the artist and may also take into consideration – 

• Time required for executing the commission.
• Details and complexity of the artwork.

3. Alters of the Coast will supply you with an invoice through PayPal. It is important to note that – 

• A non-refundable deposit which includes the card costs in addition to 50% of the commission fee will be required before artwork can commence. 
• Any remaining balance must be paid in full before the card can be delivered.
• The artist retains the right to publish finished artwork unless negotiated otherwise.
• Artist retains the licensing rights to any original artworks created as a part of the commission process.

4. Alters of the Coast can provide updates throughout the creative process. Therefore, you will need to provide the artist with –

• Your preferred method of contact.
• Your preferred level of consultation.

5. The time has finally come to receive your new mtg alter. To finalise everything – 

• You must ensure the remaining balance has been settled before delivery.
• You will need to confirm your shipping address before the final date of completion to ensure a safe and accurate delivery.
• Alters of the Coast will carefully package your new commission to ensure its upmost safety.
• You will receive a confirmation that your new alter has been posted.
